Ambulatory Options Sleep and Wellness Centers has developed a Home Sleep Testing (HST) program offering services primarily to its affiliated hospital-based sleep centers. Following medicare's approval of HST in March of 2008, the HST service was intelligently designed to meet American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines while ensuring a sufficient revenue stream to financially support a patient-focused HST service. Sleep and Wellness Centers HST service is far superior to "mail-order" HST services that do not provide face-to-face device application or adequate support for patient self-application of testing devices, or offer data access for manual study scoring and "epoch by epoch" reviews for interpretations by board-certified sleep physicians.
